No Need for Words

Rowan may act like a grumpy little cookie, but Blair knows how to soften her up without saying a word.

Get the Look: American Horror Story (SD)

I am crazy obsessed with American Horror Story: Coven right now. It's so weird, gross and crazy in a really good way. XD Other than the awesome witchy goodness, what draws me even more to the show is the fashion the actresses sport!

So here's my take on the show's modern gothic glamor, tailored specially for SD girls. Wearing an all-black ensemble has never looked so bewitching. ;)

1. Wid-brimmed Hat: Black Jazz Hat from Tata's Paradise, $20
2. Wig: Wig Model D-2 (HLG) from Licht, $18
3. Retro Shades: Black Frame Glasses from Alice's Collections, $12
4. Cross Necklace: Cross Necklace from Tata's Paradise, $8
5. Ring: Silver Lily Ring from Crobidoll, $6
6. Asymmetrical Dress: One Piece Dress from SWDoll, $21.50
7. High-heeled Ankle Boots: Shoe Model LS-131_G from Leekeworld, $47

Brick by Boring Brick

There hasn't been a lot going on with me dolly-wise recently. I've been saving up for a Feeple60 girl, so I'm cutting down on my spending, which means it's gonna be a while before Blair and Miette get any new stuff haha! Sorry, girls. ;)

I did purchase a couple of stuff for Blair before my spending hiatus, and this fabulous Foxybrowny set is one of them. It's freaking adorable! The prints kind of clash but they still manage to look so pretty together. It's all so very hobo-mori chic, which I love.

Totoro & I

When Cyristine of Cyristine's Creations put up this adorable Totoro hoodie for sale on her Etsy, I knew I had to have it! Good thing a friend of mine decided to hold a mini group order. I got it a couple of weeks ago and Blair's been wearing it since then. I normally change her outfit once every two weeks, but the hoodie's just too cute so I made an exception.

The makkurokurosuke hairpin was made by my friend Madz of Dear Resin. It's part of Blair's Totoro costume from Halloween last year. It looked cute with the hoodie so onto her head it went. ^u^

Please excuse the repetitive shots! I was hoping to do an outdoor shoot of Blair with the Totoros but it's been excruciatingly hot recently and the thought of going outside in the sun sounds like torture. Blair being cute with the Totoros and fake bokeh will have to suffice for now haha!

Get the Look: The Kim Jaejoong Edition (SD)

Out of all my Kpop biases, the most fashionable one has to be JYJ's Kim Jaejoong. The man can dress in a sack and still look good. Thankfully, that hasn't happened since he is always dressed nicely. I am partial to his more laid-back looks though, like the one pictured below. ^u^

The breakdown of the outfits for our dear resin men can be found at the end of the post.
Hope you guys find this useful!

1. Wig: Model CRWL-28 from Crobidoll, $27
2. Cardigan: Blue Cardigan from SWdoll, $21
3. Shirt: Basic Shirt from Nine9Style, $22
4. Necktie: Necktie from Tata's Paradise, $3.50
5. Bracelets: Silver & Black Bracelets from Tata's Paradise, $5.70
6. Watch: Fashion Watch from Sadol, $13.33
7. Belt: Black Waistband from Tata's Paradise, $4
8. Pants: Casual Trousers from SWdoll, $19.50
9. Shoes: Brogues from SWdoll, $25.48
10. Socks: Cotton Knee Socks from Dollmore, $3

Get the Look: Mixed Fruits (MSD)

It's been too long since I made a Get the Look post. As much as I love doing it, it can get tedious searching for the best matches for our beloved dolls. Anyway, it's back and hopefully better than before! I hope you guys like the new layout. :D

1. Wig: Model KDW-38 from LUTS, $23
2. Denim Coat: Denim Rollup Onepiece from Nine9Style, $39
3. Knit Cardigan: Loose Fit Cardigan from Nine9Style, $29
4. Dress: Floral Dress from Kondoll, $28
5. Black Stockings: NS Panty Stockings from Dollmore, $6
6. Socks: Basic Socks with Red Dots from Dollmore, $2
7. Sneakers: Model KDS-117 from LUTS, $8

It's scorching over here in the Philippines, and it would be crazy to wear something like this around here. Luckily, our dolls don't have pores, so they can get away with this kind of outfit. Maybe it's just me, but even though the coordinate has lots of layers, it looks refreshing because of the cool colors. The palette reminds me of a nice bowl of fresh fruits – perfect for the summer! What do you think? XD

I think I'm gonna get a cavity

I just received the cutest dolly accessory ever last week! LOOK AT IT! IT'S AN ICKLE ICE CREAM HAT! Isn't it the sweetest thing ever? It makes Miette a gajillion times cuter!

The hat was made by my crazy talented friend Madz of Dear Resin. Not only does she knit, she also sews dolly clothing! You can check out her blog to learn more about her work and her dolly escapades. Now go click on the link and commission her!

The ice cream princess commands it!

Wish You Were Here

Blair takes good care of Miette and loves her like a real sister, which Miette reciprocates, but the little girl can't help but miss her mom sometimes.

Sadly, her mom is no longer with us.

4. Shoes: Pocowai

Get the Look: January Warmth (MSD)

Recently, I've been blabbering to my friends about Blair's style evolution. I've begun to take a liking in dressing her in more casual clothes. They're still quite mori actually, because of the vintage and flower motifs in most of her apparel, but I think she won't be dressing strictly in mori kei from now on. ^u^

1. Beanie: gifted by Madz of Dear Resin
2. Wig: Model W037 (Maroon) from Leeke World, $27
3. Bell Necklace: gifted by Madz of Dear Resin
4. Green Jacket: custom-made locally by kanipan
5. Grey long-sleeved shirt: Part of the Unoa Thankful set from Foxybrowny, $34 (whole set)
6. Skirt: Frillnara Chiffon Skirt (Ivory) from Dollmore, $10
7. Black leggings: handsewn by me
8. Shoes: Model SUN58 (Yellow) from SWDoll, $26

This ensemble was inspired by Steffy Kuncman's outfit post on Lookbook.nu that I saw last week:

Get The Look: Hipster Blair Edition (MSD)

It's been aaaaages since I last made a GTL post. Gah! I'm sorry. Please accept my offering of a hipster Blair as an apology?

1. Beanie: thrifted
4. Fur coat: Ask Fur Hood (Camel) from Dollmore, $27
5. Brown top: BB YOSD Clothes from Endless, $35
6. Grey long-sleeved shirt: Part of the Unoa Thankful set from Foxybrowny, $34 (whole set)
7. Floral leggings: Brown Floral Tights (MSD) from Endless, $6
8. Brown lace-up boots: custom-made locally by kanipan

I was getting bored of Blair's usual cutesy mori girl look, so I raided her box of clothes and put together this ensemble. Didn't think hobo-hipster chic would suit her lol! I love it on her now, despite how different she looks form her usual self. ^^

And now I want to get her more pants/leggings. :\

Interview with Lola of Atelier Momoni

I've been a big fan of Lola Palacios's work even before I got my first doll. As a mori kei lover, the chic and casual clothes and accessories she makes for her shop, Atelier Momoni, definitely tickled my fancy the moment I laid eyes on them.

I'm so glad she agreed to do this interview! Click on "Continue reading" to learn more about this talented lady from Spain. :)

ManikaManila Tiangge 2012

Hello dear readers! It's been a crazy week. I'm sorry I've neglected my regular blog posting! I usually spend my free time queuing blog posts, but last week I've been busy preparing for ManikaManila's Tiangge. The event was held last Saturday, October 20, at Greenbelt Parkplace in Legazpi Village, Makati City.

My booth named Chocochipmunk. I still have leftovers, which I'll be selling online soon! :D

Tiangge is Filipino for "bazaar", which was exactly what the event was all about. Some of our members (including me!) put up booths and sold both handmade and pre-loved items. There were items that were raffled as well! It was one of the most successful events held by ManikaManila so far. Over a hundred people attended! It was like a mini Dollism! How awesome is that?

Violet, Miette and Blair - my pretty models

This was my first time being an entrepreneur. It was scary but exciting at the same time. I'm just glad my booth was quite a success. Yay money, LOL! I'll probably use the money I earned to open a dolly bank account. *u*

Anyway, click on Continue Reading for the rest of my report!

Dolly Diptych Week 23: Kyeopta Gangnam Style!

A few weeks ago, by some strange miracle, Ryan was able to make Miette dance PSY's viral song Gangnam Style. I really don't know how he does it so easily, and with the Lati V1 body to boot! So, being the competitive person I am, I decided to try and make my little girl dance again for DDW.

HEEEEYYYY CUTESY BABY! KYEOP-KYEOP-KYEOP-KYEOP KYEOPTA GANGNAM STYLE!
(Kyeopta =
Korean for "cute" ^u^)

LO AND BEHOLD, I did it! It took me several minutes to get her to pose like that. Who knew posing tiny dolls could be so tiring? XD

~

In case you were curious about what Miette is wearing:

Usamimi: handmade by me
Wig: Crobidoll
Dress: gifted by devolvedarling/Kyra
Shoes: iDollZoo
