Kate MacDowell's Porcelain Sculptures

I chanced upon Kate MacDowell's works while browsing through Tumblr and instantly fell in love. Her porcelain sculptures delicate and elegant, but upon closer inspection, you'll realize they convey darker, more macabre messages.

Kate's works are all symbolic of humanity's often destructive relationship with nature. The artist herself says it best in her own words:
"...the union between man and nature is shown to be one of friction and discomfort with the disturbing implication that we too are vulnerable to being victimized by our destructive practices."
